What was your inspiration?
I was looking to design the perfect winter hat for my son. He wanted something fun. I wanted something warm that would cover his ears. We came up with this together, but he got to name the pattern.
What are you most proud of?
A hat that's seen several seasons of wear and is still a favorite.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Keep a crochet hook on hand and don't be afraid of the K5Bs. I carefully explain how to do them. I know it seems scary, but it's really much simpler then it seems.
