What are you most proud of? I spent a whole lot of time beeing extremely picky about the colors I would use - I tried a bunch of combinations and I think I got the very perfect one - if I did another one I probably would be tempted to use the same colors
What advice would you give someone starting this project? 1. choose bright colors - the bubbles look amazing when the blanket is finished 2. don't do a fancy edging - I just did a very simple 2-row sc/c/sc and it really showed off the blanket (you don't want the edging stealing the bubbles thunder) 3. even if your crocheting tension is loose, use a bigger hook than your yarn is suggested for - the bubbles need "air" to show off - for example, the yarn I used recommended a 3mm hook and I ended up making the blanket with a 5mm hook 4. if you choose to alternate a dominant color with other colors (like I did) carry the dominant color all the way on the sides of the blanket - the bubble pattern is just a 2-row repeat, so it really saves you yarn (and a ton of loose tails to tuck in in the end) from your main color (I used a plastic bottle as a yarn holder and it worked out fine) 5. select a yarn that will take the "abuse" of using and washing - pure cotton worked wonders for this blanket - it was a present for a friend's baby and she has washed it again and again and it didn't even flinch
