The curly hair is made with the "turkey stitch." I had never used this stitch before I made these dolls and found it challengeng. I would suggest you practice it on a crocheted square before you try to do it on the doll. You can change the size of the doll by using different brands/weights of yarn and/or crochet hook sizes. Caron Simply Soft Yarn for Little Sissy Red Heart Worsted Weight Yarn for Bubba a size F crochet hook, some polyfil, a little embroidery thread for the eyes, eyebrows and mouth.
What was your inspiration?
I am alway looking for new patterns and if they are free, that's great. My Craftsy Pen Pal, Stephanie, emailed the link for this pattern. I started it almost right away! Don't tell her but I am going to send her this pair. :)
What are you most proud of?
I am getting pretty fast!
