What was your inspiration?
I got my loom with the intention of making myself a purse. My it was January and my husband was very sick from the cold weather in Korea. So, I pushed my purse and made him a scarf instead. He has a Boise State University Beanie, so I was making the scarf to match the hat. The one without the orange stripe is his. The one with the orange stripe was made for another friend, who wound up leaving Korea before I could get it done. It was more of a stash buster, because it was just using the yarn that I didn't use the first time.
What are you most proud of?
I like the one with the stripe because that was my first time ever using varying warp colors and I love how it turned out.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
just make sure to watch your sides and don't pull them in to much. if you are using the 24 inch loom, maybe get some smaller shuttles as it is a bit cumbersome to use a 24 inch shuttle with a 7 inch scarf...
