Do you sell this cake? No, just for fun

Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: This was my first attempt at creating a lace cake design, but the reason why I'm posting this project here is because the entire embroidered design and the over-piping was done with the airy royal icing that we learned to make in this class. It worked beautifully for this type of lace design! I decided to try to do the brush embroidery technique that was inspired by the green lace fabric that you see in the background of the photos. I covered the cake with marzipan, and then with MMF. Then, I did the embroidered rose design on the cake. At the end, I just lightly airbrushed the entire cake with a pearl sheen color.

What are you most proud of? Since this was my first experience with lace design, I feel content that I was able to achieve a reasonably fine lace look on the cake. I'm sure that there is lots of room for improvement, so don't hesitate to make suggestions! I'm happy with the quality of the over-piping. My hands were a bit shaky, but supporting them as Joshua advised was really helpful.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It is important to watch the lessons many times if necessary, think about the techniques for such designs, think carefully about your own chosen design, practice first on a separate piece of fondant (for example, I first did the cake board to get a filling for movements etc.), and make sure that you have all of your tools before you start the project.
