What materials did you use? Flannel and Minky on top and bottom with cotton batting in the middle.

What are you most proud of? How pretty and neat it looked when done.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Nice and simple quilt for a beginner quilter.

Cotton Batting,is that the back. Do you use quilt batting in between the picies.

I have updated the notes to be more clear. In general most all quilts have 3 layers. On most rag quilts we make we use either cotton, flannel, or minky as the top and bottom materials. This quilt has a flannel heart fabric and a brown minky. It seems that I did not include a picture of the back I believe it was all flannel. Our center layer we mostly do a cotton batting. The batting layer is cut 1 inch smaller then the top and bottom so when sewn together it is not part of the frayed edge. We have at times though added a flannel or cotton fabric middle that we cut the same size as the top and bottom square so that the color would show in the rag part (normally a off color) to add spunk to the design. I hope that answers your questions. Feel free to ask as many as you like as I love to try to help other quilters.
