be careful with the kind of flannels you get; some of mine "pilled" a lot in the wash. I had to use my vacuum to get all the threads and lint off!Difficulty:

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I think if I were to do it again I wouldn't use batting; even with the x's quilted in the middle, the batting gets a bit bunched on the sides. It does give it a little extra heft/warmth, though.
