Materials

Three bronzite beads, Nymo thread, Toyo seed beads, Gold plate 6 and 11 beads, bead backing, ultra-suede backing and gold plate slide clasp.

What was your inspiration?

The bronzite beads.

What are you most proud of?

The finished piece.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Enjoy the process. Don't rush to finish a piece, but relax and enjoy the beading.

i long to master the art of such smooth and flawless bridging between cabs to link them together. your work is beautiful.

I make sure I snug the beads up against each other. I often draw a straight line on the bead backing to follow for at least one row. After that I just follow the first line of beads. Most of the pieces I have posted don't use cabs. I have trouble finding cabs that I can see before I purchase, so I found a lot of flat beads at a gem and jewelry show last Fall. I just bezel around them and they work great. I have used cabs for some pieces, but am cautious buying sight unseen.
