Broken Spiderweb Quilt

My lil one modeling

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Classic

Materials

Mostly 100% cotton but for some of my scrapy octogons I used my crazy quilt stash with satins, silk & mixed.

What was your inspiration?

We had just learned this block when I found out my grandmother needed to go to a assisted living home. So, I choose her favorite colors from my stash and put this together as a housewarming gift. Thank you Amy for teaching us this block!

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the majority of my seams meeting up easily and also my free motion quilting inside the plain blue border as this was my first time doing it on a larger project.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have patience and try hard not to sit and choose each fabric for the spiderwebs as it really does look good just doing it random!
