What materials did you use? A mix of old scraps and new fabrics w Kona Snow. I utilized some very teeny tiny bits!

What are you most proud of? For some reason, these string-piecers take a lot of effort for me and I'm amazed when I actually get DONE! It takes a lot of thought to distribute the colors in a way that I'm happy with. Especially when you get about half way done, then you have to be more careful about doubling up on colors next to each other etc...

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Keep each finished triangle handy as you work so you can have an idea about what fabrics to use to provide contrast yet be in keeping with what you've already done. Make sure your points at the ends of each triangle don't use such a tiny piece of fabric that it gets lost in the seam allowance once it's all sewn up. I had to take one out and replace it with a bigger piece. Those corners are important opportunities for one last bit of zing so they should be big enough to actually be visible.

Looks great and I like your method. I'm not one of the multitude who enjoy the string blocks, I seem to suffer from what you referred to, to me not mindless sewing, lots of conundrums, lol.

Yes, so many aesthetic decisions to make with each string. It wore me out! (;
