What was your inspiration?
I wanted to create a quick project to use up scrap threads. I decided to make bookmarks in filet crochet, one of my favorite crochet techniques.
What are you most proud of?
I created five different borders so each bookmark would have a different look. I think they turned out pretty cute!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a quick and easy project to use up scrap thread.
The pattern uses a modified filet stitch; it uses 2 stitches per square instead of the typical 3 per square. Be sure to read the definitions for the blocks and spaces.
Instructions and graphs are included to make the "love to read" and "i love books" bookmarks, in addition to personalizing your own 4- or 6-position bookmark.
