I made the tote from scratch, using white cotton duck and a pink patterned duck which is repeated in the lining. I did the embroidery white on white.
What was your inspiration?
My daughter just got engaged and is running around to bridal shows, caterers and dress shops. This tote will make her feel like a bride from the time she first wears it thru the wedding date. And has plenty of room for all the brochures she'll be picking up on the way. There are 3 pockets inside, so she'll easily grab her cell to send her mommy pix.
What are you most proud of?
Its just drop dead beautiful. The pix just don't give it justice. This one is for my daughter, but I will make this to order on my etsy site, www.etsy.com/listing/94476793/bridal-tuille-tote
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make the bag from scratch. I also only did the tuille in front. I didn't think I'd like the layers on the bag, brushing as she walks. I also did the front of the bag, including stitch the layers of tuille and ribbon before stitching the side seam.
