Materials
plaid tartan fabrics and vintage lace. Charms to match the celtic heritage
What was your inspiration?
I wanted to create a very special accessory for Celtic weddings. The plaid tartan fabrics are specific to celtic family names. No two are exactly alike and some familys have more than one "Plaid." Try to use vintage lace from a family wedding gown or baptismal gown for a very special wedding accessory. Use a charm to coordinate. A photo charm to remember a lost beloved family member, or a scotish pin or a religious charm.
What are you most proud of?
I particularly like the individuality of this project. It is designed to be a very special rememberance for a very special day.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Try to be creative. Use those ideas that your bride can provide about her family. The Tartan fabrics are available as tartan neck scarfs and can be obtained from Scotish web sites or stores selling tartan accessories.
