Sticky Take Flowers Tutorial »

Cotton Fabric, fusible, embroidery, beading.

What was your inspiration?

My 2012 entry to the Alliance for American Quilts Contest: Home is Where the Quilt is.

Just as bricks and mortar are the foundation of a home; fabric and thread are the foundation of a quilt.

What are you most proud of?

The realistic quality of the flowers.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Check out the free tutorial on my blog on how I made the flowers.

Thank you, I really enjoyed the process of making this wall quilt and letting the design evolve. I started with the bricks and let that sit for a few weeks until I decided it must have some flowers.

Thank you, it was so hard to put in the mail and send off to the AAQ. But I know where ever it ends up it will be appreciated.
