Instructions

Pattern came from the book "The weekend Quilter - Fabulous Quilts to make in a weekend" page 68 The pattern is called Winter Wall - by Gill Turley in the section called Changing Seasons. It is machine pieced on top - but the quilt is hand quilted and tied - in a primitive manner.

Materials

Cotton fabrics, plaid flannel for the back, polyester batting and fiberfill for the pillow, cotton thread, sewing supplies & tools.

What was your inspiration?

Wanted to do something very much from the "old days" and came across this in the book and decided to do this.

What are you most proud of?

My first hand tied and hand quilted quilt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time...

Acutally I think it is called Winter wall- but I call it brick wall because that is what it reminds me of..but yes, the book is helpful - thanks

Definitely not my Winter Wall pattern. I think on reflection it is my Feedsack Scrap Quilt from Quick Quilt to Make in a weekend.
