What was your inspiration?
My daughter does not have and does not want pierced ears. She loves tiger eye, it is her favorite gem. I looked and looked for options for her to wear that would look like earrings and couldn't find what I was looking for,
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It is a process of trial and error to get the right size of wire and length for your ear. I use 6 inches of 20g or 22g wire and the area that becomes the cuff to hold onto your ear is about 1 1/8 to 1 1/4 inches. The rest of it you can be creative with. I have invested in quite a few tools which definitely make this easier but it could be done with just round nose pliers if you practice.
