What was your inspiration?
The bracelet measures 9 inches in total length but can be adjusted to fit any wrist size greater then 5 inches. It closes using a lobster clasp.
The hair for this bracelet was collected from Judge, a 25 year old double registered AQHA/Palomino gelding. The hair was collected by Judge's owner and given to me in trade for a custom horsehair bracelet. Judge is one of the lucky ones - he is enjoying his golden years in a loving forever home!
All of my horsehair items are handmade by me using horsehair gathered from animals encountered through my work in the animal welfare field. Only a small amount is taken from each horse during the normal grooming process. Each animal is an individual who's memory lives on in the items made from their hair, even after the animal has passed through my life. All my horsehair is cruelty-free, is not a by-product of the equine slaughter industry and is vegetarian/vegan friendly.
