What are you most proud of? I know that this hat is loved by my grand children. It makes me proud to see them wearing one of my creations.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Experiment with different types of stitches on each hat you make. This one includes sst, sc, ch and dc. It sports the slanted V stitch. I think that gives it a nice texture. That is also a really good stitch to use for scarves.

Please share your pattern for this hat. My Father In Law is a dialysis patient. His Dr. said that he would not get the chills so badly during the process if he would cover his head, not just use the blanket. All the other hats I've found look like ladies' hats or else ski hats...neither of which he would wear. This one has a nice, clean-cut look to it and when I showed him the pic he said "Now that's a hat I could wear in public places." I have a mission to help him out, now. Please?

Sad to say I don't have an actual pattern for this, I just winged it BUT just for your Dad I will try to write out a pattern for you and him. Give me a few days. Love to you both

I love to make hats for my grandchildren too. Can you share the pattern?

LOL I have to find time to sit down and figure it out. It is my own design and unfortunately I never write my patterns down. I just sit down with some yarn and a hook and go from there.
