Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?
Difficulty:
Category: Crocheting
Type of item: Clothing
For: Children
Style: Cute
Materials
about 3-4 ozs of bulky yarn (for hat) small amount of black yarn 4 ply worsted weight (for band)
What was your inspiration?
My grand children are real "hat kids" Especially Kaleb (pictured) he loves to wear a hat 24/7 (yes, even to bed) I love to see them wearing the hats that I made for them.
What are you most proud of?
I know that this hat is loved by my grand children. It makes me proud to see them wearing one of my creations.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Experiment with different types of stitches on each hat you make. This one includes sst, sc, ch and dc. It sports the slanted V stitch. I think that gives it a nice texture. That is also a really good stitch to use for scarves.
