What materials did you use? Just thought I'd make my first attempt at paper piecing with some fun Valentine's Day fabrics and ribbon.

What are you most proud of? I like the variety of materials. I used pieces of ribbon for some of the 2" strip piecing.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Double check each piece for complete fabric coverage of an area before you get too far. I had to do some ripping on a couple or pieces!

Yummy! Beautiful blocks, and they most certainly live up to their name. I love how you've used a variety of fabrics in the pink one... works great but I wouldn't have expected that!

I thought it would be fun to go all out with the pinks and browns with it being around Valentine's day. Might as well have some fun while I'm learning.

Beautiful blocks!! I'm so impressed with your color combinations, and also the fact that you used ribbon in the piecing. That's one of the perks with paper piecing - it is a bit easier to use fabrics other than cotton. I'll bet you had to be super careful with the iron, though, and use low heat and/or a pressing cloth so the ribbon didn't melt! Nice work!

Thank you, yes, I kept the iron on a medium setting. I just really wanted to use that ribbon. :D
