What was your inspiration?
I loved these pants that I kept seeing around, but I didn't like the way the patterns went together. As a very busy mom, I can only make projects that are easy and quick. So, I designed this project to
What are you most proud of?
I love how simple this pattern is to put together. Plus, as you can see from the photos it is a really versatile photo. I give you the instructions to make full length pants for ages 2-6, but it is so simple to make shorts with a little adjustment to the pattern. In the photo you can see my niece wearing a pair of size 4 pants I made her a couple of years back as really cute capris pants/shorts. Our motto is Go Green ... Sew Green and not only do we use fewer pattern pieces, waste less fabric, but I try to come up with designs that will be able to be worn through multiple years.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Get ready to go crazy. These would make really cut PJs for Christmas made from satin or soft cotton or flannel.
