What was your inspiration?
Christmas is coming and I wanted to make my friends a special gift. We always catch up at dinner parties through the year. I thought I would make a two bottle wine bag. One to share and one to give (bottles that is). I inserted a dividing piece of fabric to stop the clinking - I should have put batting in it. Oh well this is the prototype. The next one will be better.
What are you most proud of?
I love the fabric design. I even quilted around the pattern (but you can't see it in the photo). It worked very well considering I didn't have a pattern and I fiddled around and adjusted it to suit what I wanted. Will need to make a paper pattern - because I didn't use any pattern!
I love the little tag I put inside it. I will tell my girlfriend she can't regift it!!! LOL!!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Draw some diagrams of what you want to make. Make a paper pattern and try to put it together to "prove" it so you know the measurements will be right.
Remember - there are no rules - only your rules!!!
