What was your inspiration?
I had to make a comfortable reading pillow for the quilt I'd finished and put on display so I decided to use the same blocks inspiration from it and reshape the center block to give the curve needed.
What are you most proud of?
I think I had achieved what I was looking for.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just cut some extra blocks when you prepare for the quilt and keep it for the pillow. Make a paper pattern with the size and shape your like your finish pillow to have and follow the pattern. You need to reshape the center bottom three and the top center only retouch the bottom seam making 1/2" seams instead from the middle of the geometric figures down. After is right the size free motion quilt it as usual with the same wadding used on the quilt. It was not difficult to get it right. You can do it too. If any questions you welcome to ask me. I highly recommend this kind of pillow shape. There are very comfortable to have it around.
