What are you most proud of? When all the fabrics work in design as was planned is a very gratifying feeling.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be sure to "pin register" your quilt top & backing to ensure they are square to each other.

Too bad these pics came out so blurry. Didn't look that way on my iPhone. The books have gold writing & look like the old "stacks of an English bookstore." Quilt is all wrapped up for Christmas. May replace pics after Christmas.

A little blurry, but I can still see it is a beautiful quilt! Very nice back = a reversible quilt:)

Thank you very much. Reversible is a GREAT concept! Now this one didn't use up any quilt top scraps but others I've made have & that really ties things together!

I can't tell from the picture, but I assume you quilted in the ditch on the yellow/blue side. That must have been very difficult to line up with the books on the other side.

This quilt was free motion quilted with a large meandering stitch overall. Very easy

Is this a pieced quilt or a panel of some kind. If it is pieced - wholly cow what a job. Either way - it's a beautiful quilt - especially for a reader.

Thank you so much. I made this as a Christmas present for my daughter in 2012. The book fabric is the quilt back and the fabric of books reminded my daughter of the old English bookstore stacks. She too is an avid reader and so we decided this would make a great backing & added 2 borders. Even has bits of gold on the books. The yellow & blue quilt top is pieced in a fence rail pattern.
