My first thought was that i would like this more with sashing...

I think that is the plan for the bom class but, I still think it will be too busy

I will put sashing on mine, as it seperates each block nicely and lets the eye focus on one work of art. It will be too busy with no sashing. If the quilt was made with one block and that block made a design on the quilt, I would not sash it. Your quilt would look lovely with the purple sashing. You can do FMQ designs there as well.
