Quilting: BOM with Amy

BOM with Amy

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Instructions

In the wonky pound sign block I use 2" strips instead of the suggested 1 1/2" strips. I think it looks nicer.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Traditional

Materials

Pieces of fabrics from my quilting stash

What was your inspiration?

My inspiration was the hot Australian sun

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Make sure you read the instruction through carefully at least twice after following Amy on the video and if you make a mistake don't give up do it again.

Your are too funny--no screaming, just an appropriate amount of "Hey, Look what an awesome quilter I am!" :-) LOL!

Depending on the other blocks to be done I think that if I stay with high impact colors my 15yr old grandson would love this, so think I may end up making two quilts, one a little more subdued for me.

I also really like your choice of colors. Just using the two and do the whole quilt that way is interesting. Good job! Thanks for sharing

Thank you, did one with the narrow strips first off but didn't like it, so made them wider.

love the colors and I think I tend to agree about the size of strips in the # block.
