Wait until you trim it. I bet you will be very surprised at the final look I'm making a batch of these blocks riOw to make into a lap quilt. Each block looks different after those last cuts and it's awesome. Sometime I'll post my quilt.

You can save the bigger swatches and still make another block or work them. Into another in the smaller spaces. That works for me. Waste not, want not! Works for me. :-)

I struggled with the free wheeling style, too. I can either follow directions - or do my own thing. Hard to do someone else's own thing though. Great job.
