This is the only hex I've enjoyed using. One thing the april block taught me was I'm not a hand quilter, and applique and I are not friends either.

One thing I have discovered over the years is that my likes and dislikes have changed in ways I never thought possible! I first learned to quilt from TV watching Quilt in a Day and Alex Anderson. about 20 years ago. I've taken many unorganized quilt classes over the years. That is one reason I enjoy these classes so much. I feel like I'm getting the whole program. I used to only like pieced conservative quilts with lots of contrast. I even tried painting fabric and quilting a baby quilt. Since then I have developed my taste to include those cute story applique quilts. My color and style has grown in ways I never would have expected. After I did a few, I looked for patterns to develop further skills. I am now doing all kinds of applique including embroidery (machine). I have more ideas than I can make in a lifetime. Unfortunately I have many UFOs, too! But, I wouldn't change a thing. Remember your comments. It's so much fun laughing at them lateer!

Well, I've recently had to make room, so I could get my foot out of my mouth. It's only been a few months since I post the comment about not being friendly with applique. So bet you know what I'm going to say don't you. Yep! It's given me another try, actually a few, and although we're not bossom buddies, yet, we're on speaking terms at least.
