Christmas gift for my sister- in- law and her husband.

Getting it done. I have 7 projects I am working on so I try to stay on top of things,
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
On the chunky chevron block I pressed my seems on my half square triangles in opposite directions. It help get rid of the bulky corners and made it much easier to sew together. I wish I would have done than on the first block.
