Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Mod

Materials

Fabric from the Makower Sew Patchwork range and the background fabirc is makower spectrum range

What was your inspiration?

Always wanted to learn patchowrk and quilting and Amy who runs this course makes it look so easy.

What are you most proud of?

Hand stitching the whole piece and not resorting to using my sewing machine - I was tempted! I really hate hand stitching but sewing the hexagons together was quite theraputic. Sewing them to the block was another matter :O)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's a really good challenge as the blocks each month are so varied. The other people on the course are very helpful and supportive should you run into problems.

Hi desna, I love talking to everyone doing the course but it's nice to find others doing this course from the UK. Sometimes I struggle with terminology etc when the courses and patterns come from the USA. Good old internet. I don't know what I would do if it disappeared!

Love these blocks too:) I see you are from the UK... good to see someone else from this side of the pond. I'm from NI not too far away.

Thanks. This was my least favourite as I sewed all by hand
