Thank you, Yes I am new to quilting. But I do stained glass and have sewn for years. I love play with color and patterns. This is my first real quilt.

Your dresden plate is 'fan'tastic :) They all look wonderful together - well done for getting them finished. Make sure you post the finished quilt.

Thank you, The dresden is one of my favorites, Just unsure about one of the string blocks, there is one that sticks out to much.

Hi Dedemac, I really like all your blocks - if you balance the light and dark blocks as you lay them out it will come together. you could also consider coloured sashing if you think that would reduce one 'sticking out'. good luck with it :)
