What are you most proud of? The sign strips are almost completely straight with only one visibly crooked strip. I contemplated the seam ripper, but decided I need a visual reminder of what I'm here to do; learn new techniques rather than using the seam ripper.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Pin, pin, pin! If you're uncertain of which part goes where, take photos or draw quick sketches before beginning to sew. If you have a hard time deciding where the final slashing should go, pull open the third one and create a "hole" between the two pieces of fabric to envision the fourth line/angle. I pressed the seams open and was pleased with creating less bulk compared to the Asterisk block. It's not necessary to purchase a 12.5''x12.5'' ruler for this project only, because there are probably a million different kinds out there, so make what you have work or invest in a size that is versatile. My 16''x16'' Omnigrid ruler works like a charm in these types of projects.
