What was your inspiration?
I've always wanted to learn how to quilt. Craftsy presented this class that I could take at my own speed in the comfort of my own home.
What are you most proud of?
The fact that I did this at all!! We began unloading our home of 23 years of raising children, getting ready for an Estate Sale, storing what we DID intend to keep, downsizing to a condo being newly constructed out of town, moving 3 times before July, plus more with familial challenges, my dad getting sick, in the hospital then out again, a daughter having nasty issues with ex that affected the 2 granddaughters+++....an unbelievable year. Despite it all, I'd do my blocks when I could. Since we were in flux, I swore to only use fabrics already on hand. It wasn't until I began staging the blocks did I notice that the background fabric was white on white with butterflies, hence Metamorphysis. I just love the result.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just be patient with yourself, take your time and then just do it!
