The fact that the stripes don't line up perfectly is really bugging me, but I'm hoping that some of that will get blurred once the whole thing is assembled and quilted.

I think it's awesome you got them so close! Stipes are tricky to work with as triangles!

did your block come to 12,5 inch? I am having to redo mine, because I ended up with 12 inch block

Mine is tight but I just barely made 12.5 inches. Make sure the 1/4 inch seams are "scant" meaning just a hair under.
