What materials did you use? Bluebonnets pattern by Carol Morrissey, 100% cotton batiks

This is the Bluebonnets pattern by Carol Morrissey. You can't really tell from the picture but these bluebonnets are enormous. The body of the quilt is 36 x 46 and framed it finishes at 47 x 57. There is no paint on this quilt. All the color is intrinsic to the batik fabric. I quilted this myself on my Brother PC420. I FMQ some swirls in the sky to give the impression of wind. I got a little carried away and now it accidentally looks like Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. Oops. Live and learn.

Wow....this is just stunning. I almost want to reach right in and pet your flowers...I LOVE your background quilting and don't think you overdid it at all...I wouldn't change a thing. VERY well done!!! :)

Thanks so much Andrea. I really enjoy the process of making quilts. I find it relaxing and rewarding. I hope some day I can FMQ like you. I am going to keep practicing.
