Instructions

Using a martin house shaped gourd for the vase and a curved gourd for the handle I attached them together using glue and wood filler to create a seamless pitcher. I painted an acrylic wash of chestnut and then carved a 3/4 oval of fretwork around the rim. What was your inspiration?

Lake Michigan on a sunny day.

What are you most proud of?

This is my first gourd using the random hole fretwork technique. I think it came out very well.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
