What materials did you use? Batik fabrics, various yarns and threads, size 8 pearl cotton for most of the hand embroidery

What are you most proud of? The hand embroidery. As a rule, I do not sew by hand, unless absolutely forced. And I loved it! There is so much texture and depth with this piece, I really really like it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't get hung up on making your "stitch bible," the point is to make a finished piece, which only needs a dozen stitches, more or less. Pick the most likely and play with them, then GO!

Thank you. I have it hanging on my bright-yellow LR wall, where it really pops! I like color :-)

Thanks! Contrary to expectations, I did a lot of dense hand stitching. Great fun!! Thanks for the inspiration.

Can definitely see your landscape - stars, mountains, birds, earth, & water. Great job!

Thank you. It's fun to listen to and see what the fabric and threads tell you as a project progresses.

Great Piece. Reminds of reflections on the sea.
