Blue Jeans

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Jean-ius: Reverse Engineer Your Favorite Fit »

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Traditional

Materials

denim, rivets, metal jeans button, cotton

What was your inspiration?

Pattern taken from a pair of old jeans that are about to fall apart!

What are you most proud of?

They fit really well and the topstitching is mostly professional looking.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I would start with a lighter fabric that I did - my denim is really heavyweight and while it did all go together well, it would have been easier to try new techniques on a fabric I was already comfortable with. That said, I think my jeans will last years!!
