My Craftsy class helped greatly in completing these socks, which I knit toe-up both at once on a long circular needle. Donna especially helped me understand how gusset heels work on toe-up socks, which supplemented the explanation of the book from which the pattern came: "Toe-Up-2-at-a-Time Socks" by Melissa Morgan-Oakes.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
I was inspired by the lovely girl for whom I knitted the socks. Her dance training has imbued her with grace and discipline, which she applies to her classical singing studies as a voice student of my husband. She is also a member of his extended family and her visits have added immeasurably to our family life. Her feet deserve to wear lovingly knit socks in a lacy pattern, and I look forward to presenting them to her for Christmas.
What are you most proud of?
Completing a project! Also, becoming comfortable following a chart.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Learn the basics of Magic Loop sock knitting first, especially getting two socks started. But the project could also be done on DPs or 2 circulars: whatever you are most comfortable with. And as Donna emphasizes in her great Craftsy class, do gauge swatches first.
