What materials did you use? canvas rit dye in royal blue elastic band button

What are you most proud of? this was another experiment in dyeing with rit dye. i was also experimenting with the bag being made to hang off of a specific shoulder. so there is a left one and a right one. the packs sat in a heavy dye bath for a day. then i watered it down and left them sit for another day. the colors were super vibrant. but i was curious how much color would be lost in the wash. so i washed these. (wish i had taken a picture before i washed them so that you could see how much color washed out!) i still like the looks but it is amazing how much more subdued they became.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? i think that dry cleaning the dyed bags might be the way to go. but don't be afraid to experiment with dyes. they are a lot of fun.
