I modified this pattern by adding a flap to one of the side pockets - there is a pattern for a flap on bag #C...so you can do it a variety of ways if you are imaginative. I also added piping along the top edge and some fancy stitching (looks likes waves). I also added the appliques to the pockets and the back of the tote. [Simplicity Pattern # 2300 #D]Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
A friend of my sister was at an amusement park and was complaining about not having a tote on the walker to hold stuff---and my sister told her that she knew someone who could help her...and here it is!
What are you most proud of?
How nice all the colors look together.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You can use a commercial pattern, but you don't have to be stuck with it - use your imagination and you can make modifications to suit your needs.
