This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

What was your inspiration?

Background fabric (black paisley) ---- Pulling in more pink and will redo a couple of blocks later for color enhancement

What are you most proud of?

Almost caught up - My second hexi needs some hand quilting/applique

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

These blocks are not all sized yet.... I am waiting until the end to see my placement and what may need adjustment

Yup, that's the one. I love it also. I may juggle my blocks a little and not use everyone. As I mentioned before, I might do two small lap quilts with a little more pink or something. I did buy the pink, everything else is STASH. I'm so proud of myself. I cannot get any more of the exact pink either, but there's got to be something similar around if I search JoAnn's locally.

You should be proud! I started with my stash, totally intending to JUST use what I had on hand, but realized I only had stash from clothing projects, a lot not suitable for quilts. It took taking this class to understand the beauty of "collections" and pre-cuts! I usually didn't buy anything under 2 yds before.

I think the "flagging" worked to delete my extra postings. Takes a couple of days to "compute". Try it next time you duplicate entries....can't hurt.

Well, I flagged it ....and so far nothing happened. Perhaps after I log off the aliens will come by and sweep it to oblivion.

I was told by Craftsy that if you hit "flag as inappropriate", your double or triple, in my case, entry will disappear into never never land. I'll give it a try and you can all profit from my mistake. Hope it works

Thanks Desna. I am really happy with the stars. They are my favorites. Sat and finished the hand work on my second hexi last night. Have to fiddle with a tiny bit more and then will post. Can't wait for your opinion. Bought a $60 camera (was half price locally) and it worked with my computer.

I added about 4 (if I recall correctly) blades to make it lay flat and FORGOT it would change the hole in the middle, so I had to adjust a lot. I suspect when I measuare my 12 1/2" block, it may chip away a little of the edges, but I can live with that.....I guess
