Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Instructions

I am waiting until all the blocks are done before squaring up......just in case I need to make adjustments to size of blocks

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

For: Home

Style: Casual

Materials

Cottons from my STASH

What was your inspiration?

The Black Paisley is my background fabric (more or less). Amy's enthusiasm for her class

What are you most proud of?

I've tried to be less strict about straight lines and perfection. Wonky is a learned technique? I hope so.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Pick a fabric you LOVE! Then, pull colors from that to make your blocks

Thank you so much. I have a couple more blocks finished, but need a camera loan to post. I'll probably do a bunch of pixs at once. These fabrics have gone in a different direction than I imagined, because of limited choices (quantity ) in my stash. I had one piece I loved, but small, and I cut it incorrectly! Ohhhhhm so maddening. I have to redo a couple you have not seen yet because a color, which is a perfect match in the print, actually looks dead in the block. Funny how that works sometimes. Thanks again for the compliment

I don't have a camera, so I had my visiting daughter take a couple while she was here on a visit. Did not have time to really put in order of project, but hope you can identify. Still working on the final "hexi" block ---- hopefully done before the June class is posted. I have an idea in my head, but having trouble pulling it off. Thanks to everyone for posting their pictures as they are so inspiring. And thanks to the Craftsy Site Team for helping me get my act together with my computer problems so I could post. Happy Quilting
