Some of it was a Moda jelly roll on the March blocks, the rest was material I have had had for a few years which I thought I might use for bag linings but never did. My stash is quite big ;)

Love your Hex blocks. I haven't started yet because I don't like hand sewing -- but soon I will get it done!!

I don't like hand sewing much either. Basting the hexis around the paper (I used 200 g/m2 printer paper) I found I got into the swing of it, helped by listening to Adele's album 21. I only hand stitched the edges together and machined the outside edges straight on to the backing square. Up close it's not perfect but a lot easier than hand sewing in my opinion...
