I make different blocks when I do not care for one of the blocks of the month. My quilt will be really scrappy - I wish I'd stayed with a narrower color scheme but I LOVE color so there it is. I'm having fun making a block and then cutting it up every which way and sewing it back together in a more interesting pattern. See the one with the black border with tiny blue dots. why are there borders? Sometimes my blocks come out smaller than...so I add a border.See the green and blue chevron. Oh, and I do not care for the gold background so I'm trying to minimize it in the past couple of months. I like your hexie colors ---- I will have to go check out your other blocks. I think you have an interesting concept going - it should be fun and what YOU like!
