What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Sew the dresden parts VERY CAREFULLY, and still be prepared to adjust the seams afterwards.

I love your neutral colors. I'm especially partial to browns! It has a very unique look to it.

I really like the calming colours you've used and look forward to seeing a picture of your completed quilt at the end of the year. I've just downloaded the BOM course, so I'm at least 7 months in arrears! I don't know if I'll ever catch up!

I love your color selection in the neutrals. I'm a new quilter and choosing colors has been the most difficult part of quilting for me.

II am making this quilt from a large fat quarter bundle that I bought on a whim (quilters have lots of whims) a few months ago. Therefore the color choices were "selected" for me. You might try taking a look at fat quarter bundles; you will begin to develop a good color sense from them. Have fun!

The palette range you are using gives the quilt a very sophisticated look and is really effective with the Dresden Plate.
