This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Instructions

As per Amy Gibson's BOTM course on Craftsy.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Whimsical

Materials

Cotton (my stash), thread

What was your inspiration?

Amy Gibson's cute designs.

What are you most proud of?

Finally getting to it!!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I found it tricky getting the inserts to line up, but not too much trouble. Just make sure that you finger crease the overhang of insert fabric as Amy tells us.

HA! Been a busy day today! Didn't get anything done, except dismantling a khaki colored shirt of my husbands, for cotton fabric. Collar tips were worn out, so I cut off the buttons for my button stash, and cut out the two front portions, sleeves, and back of the shirt, and tossed the collar, cuffs, yoke and plackets. Still lots of fabric there, though.

Very pretty Asterisk block. Your fabrics really compliment each other.

Why, thank you. I've had this white fabric for a couple of years, but the pink is left over from a quilt that I am hand-quilting on my quilting frame. I wonder when I'll get THAT quilt done!!!

Seven months later; clavicle not healed. It shifted three weeks ago, and was pressing on a nerve (or several). Excruciating pain 24/7!!! So, I had surgery to connect the two sides of the clavicle with a steel plate and a couple of screws. T

The 30-45 minute surgery turned into two hours. I'm home now, but AGAIN, out of the sewing loop for about six weeks!!!

FINALLY!!! Between my seasonal projects and car wreck with injuries, I've finally gotten started on my BOM! Made these last night. Probably make February blocks today. Maybe even March!
