What was your inspiration?
To always try new things, learning different ways of doing quilt blocks. I think of it as in days gone by when women made "samplers" using different embroidery stitches. By the end of the 12 months I will have 24 big and different blocks to incorporate into a great example of many different blocks with a new twist !
What are you most proud of?
The fact that I am doing this just weeks after having hand surgery. I am basically doing these blocks with one hand ! I am challenging myself to not give up on my quilting during my recovery & physical therapy which will take about a year before I will have full use of my right hand again!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If I can do it with one hand then maybe someone else with limited physical ability might see that they too can give it a try.
So go ahead and challenge yourself.
