Jan .. I did the hexi blocks on the machine. I just used some fabric glue and stuck them where I wanted them and used a zigzag stitch. I tried hand sewing them and it looked awful so I ripped it all out.

I also applaud your hexi blocks. They're fantastic! I will be working on mine til 2015! Not exactly a hand sewist!
