Well you definitely got the quilting genes from your family. You obviously have a great playful stash ... and you're showing it off in your blocks beautifully. Amy's class is definitely running the gamut of "modern quilting techniques" to "classics with a new twist" ... so it will be a great springboard for you ... and you're already on the "high board".

Thank you, Alyx, ordinarily my "style" is very understated... simpler.... but I'm getting into the bright and bold for a change, with this class... probly because Amy keeps saying to "just have fun with it"... I'm enjoying the entire process!

Aww... I was thinking of you as the cats went in.... it was late at night when I was sewing these together, and i decided I didn't like the plain fabric I had planned to use at the center, so the kitties got to play! I am afraid I'm going a bit overboard! Haha!

I LOVE this cat material you've chosen and your blocks are beautiful. My daughter will love it, too. Cats are special to us and they can always bring a smile; your red and white kitties on black are no exception-they're wonderful!

Thank you, Dawn. Cats have always been special to me, too. Got my furball sleeping nearby as I type this! There has rarely been any time in my life that I haven't had a cat or two to love! Thank you for your kind compliment! I'm glad my kitty fabric is bringing smiles to others! :)

I love your Black, White and Red theme (and the kitties). Your blocks are beautifully done. They look professional to me. I signed up for and have been following the BOM Class; however, I've yet to make a block. I am so encouraged to see your color scheme because I had that in mind, no more than 3 coordinated colors and making all the blocks with those colors. I have never quilted but, as I said, your beautiful work is so inspiring to me. Now I just need to decide my color scheme and get busy. Good thing the Craftsy classes are forever accessible.

Ipanema-- Just take a deep breath and start sewing!! I have to tell you that when I signed up for this free class I didn't have any expectations... didn't know if I woud continue... but I decided just to jump right in and make the first blocks, then the second month, and by then i was hooked. I have wanted to learn more about quilting, and this is just so easy and low-stress! I think I was intimidated to sign up for a class at my local quilt shop, but now I have more confidence... I have learned a lot by looking at the blocks made by the other BOM participants, and very glad that the videos are available ANY time
