Nice job! Love a quilted plate!

Well done! It looks lovely! I'm having terrible trouble with this block - it's so thick that the thread keeps breaking. I shall have to unpick and start again, I think, with a different thread!

What thread did you use? I know Leah recommends Isacord which is thin and strong, but I don't think we can get it in the UK. Hope you don't mind me asking!

I did ask about Isa cord here - at Cotton Patch, my local qiult shop - and they had never heard of it! I didn't want to use poly thread anyway so I used Coty 30 in the needle and Aurfill 50 in the bobbin. I suspect that this breaks all the 'rules', but it worked for me! Size 14/90 needle. I've done the whole quilt now, with no thread breaks or tension problems...

Thank you for your advice. I found Isacord on the internet, but it appears to be a machine embroidery thread, so I'm not sure if that's what Leah recommended. I shall soldier on, having spent last evening unpicking a great deal of my Block 6! I look forward to seeing your completed quilt in due course!

I'm loving this one... looks like of pop art from the 60's to me. Very nice. Your quilting adds so much to a simple block!
